Digital literacy is becoming an essential skill for this connected age. Youth work can play an important role in developing the attitudes and skills of young people to navigate the digital world."Cities of Learning" can be a good tool to engage young people in the discovery or design of learning experiences.
However, not all of us feel comfortable in using digital media or online tools in our work. We invite you to take a look at the training needs for youth workers, identified in the recommendations "Developing digital youth work".
TASK:
  1. Go through the list of 'training needs' and think what are the skills or knowledge that you would like to develop the most?
  2. Share what did you identify and earn a badge for increased awareness of your training needs linked to the digital youth work delivery.
You can find all the recommendations in the document below. You can also read extra material with some interesting example from the youth work field "Digital youth work - a Finnish perspective"
