Step 2. Set up a meeting with your team in the organisation to explore the benefits of developing international youth programmes. Download Worksheet 2 to map benefits for youth work organisation.

Step 3. Carry out an inquiry looking for issues and problems within your community that can be addressed by offering international youth programmes. Download Worksheet 3 with tips for desk research.

Finally, conclude needs analysis for international youth programmes by making a summary of all inputs. Upload results to get a badge for completing this activity.

Nectarus organisation created this educational resource and activity to support youth workers' competence development in the "Programme design" area.
Activity content and badge issuing criteria aligned with the European Training Strategy (ETS) competence model for youth workers to work internationally:
Competence in action (behaviour): Assessing the needs of young people before or at the very beginning of the activity (and proceeding with tailored adjustments if needed)
Knowledge of assessment practices in non-formal learning
Skills of assessing/analysing the needs of young people and then involving them in developing a corresponding programme
Skills of adjusting the educational approach to the needs of young people
An attitude of displaying genuine interest in the group’s needs
