Information point Digital Government

At the Digital Government Information Point, people can receive help to find their way on government websites. After all, it all seems so obvious to arrange business with the government via the internet, but you have to know how it works. For example people can get guidance on: creating a DigiD, renew your driver's license, paying traffic fines, making an appointment at the municipality. Or people can receive information and advice on: Taxes and surcharges, arranging long-term care, student grants, and all other government matters that you need to arrange online.

Information point Language

Would you like more information about a particular course? Or are you curious which language course or digital skills course suits you best? The volunteers of the Language and Digital Information Point are aware of the course offerings throughout Rotterdam and refer people to a course or meeting that fits their needs.

Maakplaats010

The workshop Maakplaats010 is the place to get acquainted with (modern) production techniques. Maakplaats010 has several 3D printers, a powerful laser cutter, a vinyl cutter, embroidery machine, heat press and hardware with a wide range of software. During the Craft Café people are welcome to discover the possibilities and develop their creative talents under supervision.

This badge is a reflection tool for the visit at Central Library Rotterdam. This visit is part of the study visit Good practices of validation and recognition of 21st century skills for adult education programmes.

In this visit we looked, in cooperation with Library Rotterdam and the Digital Inclusion Project at:
  • Information point Digital Government
  • Information point Language
  • Maakplaats010
  • Digital Inclusion

The holder of the badge will have worked either on their own or in a small group to reflect on the questions:
  • how the visit has gone;
  • what has been learned;
  • how to use this in your work;
  • how else to use it (think about e.g. benefit for society).

The questions are designed to optimise generative learning: they are not just about what the participant has learnt but also how they can use the learning in their work and personal life.
This badge has been issued by a facilitator of the study visit.
