Content

Participate in a training of youthworkers focusing on developing youth workers’ “Personal Sustainability” competence.

The Training primarily connects to the ETS competence fields of Managing Resources, Facilitating Learning, Designing Programs and Networking and Advocating, with additional overlaps in Communicating Meaningfully and Being Civically Engaged.


The training course objectives will contribute to developing youthworkers competences and wellbeing:

  • Recognize and Sustain Personal Resources:
Equip participants with the skills to manage physical, emotional, and mental resources for their personal and professional growth.
  • Enhance Professional Resilience:
Increase readiness to maintain long-term engagement in youth work by promoting strategies for stress management, self-care, and sustainability.
  • Develop Skills for Sustainable Practices:
Enable youth workers to design and implement practices, workshops, and programs that emphasize personal sustainability and positive psychology.
  • Promote Intercultural Networking:
Foster international collaboration and the sharing of best practices in personal sustainability through interactive and multicultural exchanges.
  • Empower through Community Building:
Strengthen a sense of community and teamwork by participating in shared group tasks, interactive activities, . cooking in international teams and reflection exercises

The course content aligns with professional competences, particularly within the frameworks of non-formal learning and fostering sustainability in youth work.

Participants will gain access to up-to-date recognition solutions, to validate their competence development Certificates, including Youthpass, will be provided upon compl
  • Innovative Methods:
Participants will explore tools and methodologies from positive psychology and sustainability practices, tailored for the youth work context.
  • Digitally friendly approach:
Digital platforms will be integrated for collecting ressources, competence assessment and certification.
  • Practical Skill Development:
Participants will design, present, and receive feedback on sustainable youth work projects.
  • Intercultural Exchange:
Activities will encourage participants to explore diverse perspectives on sustainability while engaging in a . multicultural environment

This training activity is a unique opportunity for participants to use up-to-date and digital recognition solutions, such as digital Open Badges . Participants can earn digital badges, and receive certificates that prove their competence development.
Youthpass process and certificate will be offered to participants joining this training programme.


This Training course is funded by the European Union.

Personal sustainability - Resources as the key to youth wor Get this badge

This badge certificate is a micro-certificate confirming that the person has completed the youth worker training with a focus on “Developing Personal Sustainability”.

The face-to-face training took place in Germany from 3 to 13 March 2025. The course participant carried out preparatory activities before the course and follow-up activities after the course. 80 working hours is the estimated time the learner invests to achieve the following learning outcomes:

Assessing one's own learning achievements and competencies; Applying appropriate methods and digital tools to assess and self-assess learning achievements; Recognizing and maintaining personal physical, emotional and mental resources for personal and professional growth; Strengthening professional resilience to maintain long-term commitment to youth work by applying strategies of stress management, self-care and sustainability,
Developing and implementing sustainable practices, workshops and programs emphasizing personal sustainability
and positive psychology; Promoting international cooperation; Strengthening sense of community and teamwork and cooperation skills and active participation.

The participant can choose a flexible learning path through non-formal training and informal learning activities. The learner can choose to demonstrate a selected number of learning outcomes for digital open badges required to obtain this badge certificate. Peer reviews supported participants' reflection and understanding of the learning outcomes. The course training team has reviewed and approved the badge evidence.

This certification is aligned with the European Training Strategy (ETS) Trainer Competence Model. The training organiser has approved the Erasmus+ accreditation to offer learning mobility for youth workers and trainers in accordance with the quality standards of EU funded mobility programmes in the youth field.

The National Agency for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps in Germany has assessed the quality and approved the accreditation to carry out this training activity.
