Relationships, feelings, and emotions
Starting with friendship is essential in discussing relationships as it forms a crucial foundation for deeper connections and aids in understanding one’s sexuality. Friends serve as a primary source of support and guidance for young people, influencing both positively and negatively. Exploring the role of friendships helps young individuals discern positive influences and fosters open discussions about sexuality. Additionally, delving into intimate relationships requires an examination of cultural and ethical frameworks, clarifying vocabulary like attraction, desire, and love, and understanding the emotional dimensions through exploring feelings and emotions, all crucial elements for healthy relationship development.
In this chapter, we will talk a lot about the importance of vocabulary and definitions. We, of course, offer the results of our own RESEARCH, referring to thinkers, such as Brene Brown or Bell Hooks and do not pretend to tell the ultimate truth. We aim to raise awareness of how languages shape concepts and how a deeper understanding of certain vocabulary can help avoid conflicts and can enrich our communication.
