NLP was invented in the late 1960s to early 1970s in California by 2 men who attended the University of California at Santa Cruz. Neuro Linguistic Programming is, quite honestly, a horrible name, but at the time it was considered to be cool!

There is lots of information about NLP and Mental Health Promotion on the internet, so your search has been narrowed down to a couple of links to YouTube clips which give you a good overview of NLP and how we can use it to promote mental health.

  2. From the information on the two videos (what is NLP Janis's and Matt's response) and from your own ideas, come up with your own definition of NLP that will last no more than 20 seconds when you say it out loud.
