Content

Cities of Learning strive to bring innovation to our learning communities. We see Virtual Reality as an inevitable future environment to learn, civically participate and make careers. During the Cities of Learning Youth Forum, we will open our VR space and offer a few facilitated events on the AltSpaceVR platform. The Youth Forum will bring more than 100 young people, educators, youth workers and decision-makers. Read more about this event here.

Join participants from 8 Cities of Learning to play, experiment and learn on VR! Register to participate: https://forms.gle/umm6kbsmHsn4NkJPA.
Contact Nectarus for further questions: info@nectarus.lt

We will offer two onboarding sessions before the event:
  • 6th July, 14.00-15.00 CEST (Brussels time)
  • 12th July, 14.00-15.00 CEST (Brussels time)
During these sessions, you will be able to learn more about VR and how you can join our activities.

Event schedule

During the Youth Forum event, we will offer three VR sessions to join the event remotely:
  • 17th July, 10.00-11.00 CEST (Brussels time) - Event VR space opening and Cities of Learning VR galleries. You will be able to visit 8 Cities of Learning and meet young people and partners to discover how they create future learning, civic and career paths.
  • 17th July, 17.00-18.00 CEST (Brussels time) - Create your futures with VR. You will be able to play, experiment and learn how you can use VR in the future.
  • 18th July, 15.30-16.15 CEST (Brussels time) - Hear what young people want to say to policymakers about future learning, civic and career pathways. You will be able to engage in conversations with young people from 8 Cities of Learning. Discover and exchange what topics matter to young people, how they want to make a change in our societies and what support they need.

Who is involved?

This VR experiment is proudly brought by 8 Cities and Regions of Learning with the great VR support by Foróige:
Foróige is a youth development organisation engaging over 50,000 young people and 5,500 volunteers in communities across Ireland. During the pandemic, they develop their Virtual Reality space to engage with young people. Now they want to create a Pan-European Virtual Reality space for young people to meet, exchange and engage.

You can participate free of charge, thanks to the Erasmus+ programme co-funding for this activity!
