Get inspired by the Nectarus team's experience implementing inclusive game design training modules in Lithuania. Consider how you can apply training ideas in your context as you learn from our approach.

Our Dynamic Group
Our dynamic group consisted of a diverse mix of youth workers, teachers, and NGO representatives, all interested in non-formal education and some with a general understanding of game design.

A Comprehensive Programme
We delivered a comprehensive programme that included a 5-day in-person module in the first edition. The second module consisted of 1-2 days of in-person training activities followed by virtual consultations.

Unlocking Inclusion
Participants explored the theories and practicalities of inclusion, identifying the vulnerable groups in their own communities and learning how game design can be used to promote better inclusion.
With the "GameOn – Social Inclusion" Learning Playlist as a valuable resource, participants gained a deeper understanding of the connection between game design and inclusion. Despite the challenges, our team was there every step of the way, providing guidance and support throughout the training.

Innovative Learning Methods
We enriched our programme with the latest learning tools and techniques in mind, such as Learning Playlists, educational game-play, and game design simulations. Participants had the opportunity to analyse and evaluate educational board games, use the City of Learning Platform to earn badges, and develop their own game prototypes. With opportunities for feedback and improvement, each participant was able to grow and develop their skills.

Positive Outcomes
The training was a huge success, with participants appreciating its usefulness and the importance of careful planning in the game prototype development process.
In Partnership with GameOn
Nectarus (LT) delivered and shared these training modules in the frame of the international partnership "GameOn" in collaboration with expert partners from Nexes (ES), Idealúdica (ES), Universitat de Barcelona (ES), BalkanIdea Novi Sad (SR) and Associazione Interculturale NUR (IT)
GameOn is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
