While the previous activity was about figuring out, whether the format of a training course is something for you, we want to focus now on helping you to find an concrete actualy opportunity. There are many international training courses happening every year across Europe and beyond. The topics vary a lot and depend on the organisation and partners, who are involved in implementing the activity. One thing you can be sure about: They are all focussing on learning and on developping certain skills and competences.

So yes, among all the opportunities which are waiting to be found by you, most probably most of the topics and questions in those activities seem to be interesting and can potentially become a great learning experience for yourself. However some of them are more suitable to you than others. Take your time to find just the right one! This activity will help you knowing what you need to look for:

1. Understand what you are looking for:
To identify a concrete opportunity, it is important that you are aware, what you are actually are looking for. But this sounds maybe harder then it actually is. We prepared a small worksheet for you. It will help you to better understand which learning experience you are looking for.

2. Find concrete opprotunities based on your needs:
There are many ways to find a youth worker mobility project such as an international training course. Since those activities are not organised on a centralised level, but actually organised and implemented by organisation who are active in the field of international youth work, there is no central platform or acces point, which would list all opportunities. Sometimes those activities are organised by rather small organisations and usually just advertised in their bubble and peer groups. So here is what you can do:

A) Check with an organisation from the field of international youth work, which you know. Maybe they have some opportunities coming up, or maybe they have partners, who are implementing training activities.

B) Search for opportunities on the internet and in social networks. Make sure you pay attention on the frame and concept on the training course and that it actually is a learning experience. We recommend you to look for projects, which are funded by the ERASMUS+ programme, as they are structured and designed in that matter and have (due to the funding) to follow some quality standards. In social networks such as Facebook, you can look for groups which post opportunities regulary. Look for ERASMUS+ projects, or ERASMUS+ training courses. Additionally you can connect or follow youth work organisations, which are active in the field of youth work, to stay up to date.

C) Check out the European training calender from the SALTO-YOUTH portal. The portal lists some (but not all) training activities in the field of youth and non-formal education. You can apply several filters, which will easily help you to find a matching opportunity.
