To register to the workshop, get at least 3 badges before the registration closes. The maximum number of participants for this workshop is 40 people. The online registration will be open until February 20, 23:59 CET. We will send a Zoom link to registered participants on February 21.

Most CSOs exist to make the world a better place. But how to make this change inclusive? How to tell stories that address the needs, interests, and concerns of the target groups? How to encourage more storytellers to share their unique personal stories without fear of stigmatizing reactions?

At a workshop on February 22 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. (CET), we will:

  • talk about Human Rights Based Approach and how to retell stories from a human rights perspective,
  • how to create inclusive stories and what ethical storytelling is,
  • why we should use people-first language,
  • how to create stories that combat stereotypes, discrimination and exclusion.

About the trainer:
Lena Shandrak has a background in Journalism and has been a youth worker since 2016. She worked and volunteered for different CSOs in Belarus, Germany, Denmark as trainer, facilitator and project coordinator. Since 2019, she has organized and facilitated several local and international workshops on digital storytelling for different target groups. She believes that every story that is shared with others helps people be more supportive and understanding.
