Exploring Democracy through the EU Charter

Activity Description:
In this self-paced digital activity, young people will dive into the core democratic values upheld by the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. Through questions, participants will explore what democracy means in practice, why it matters, and how it is protected in the EU framework.

This activity aims to foster critical thinking and civic engagement. Participants will:
🧠 Learn about key articles related to democracy in the EU Charter
🗳 Reflect on the meaning and importance of participation, and democratic accountability
💬 Answer questions that encourage personal reflection and connection to real-life situations

No prior knowledge is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to explore how fundamental rights shape our societies. This activity is ideal for young people aged 15–30 who want to better understand their rights and responsibilities as European citizens.
