In this visit we were welcomed by part of the team of the newly launched Parasasa Learning Hotel concept. This concept focuses on providing hands-on and in-depth education, learning and training facilities and programs in an active hotel environment where learners are in continuous development while being immersed in the principles and reality of hospitality and cultural initiatives on the island. This initiative is based on a close collaboration between ROC Mondriaan in the Netherlands and a number of educational organizations and schools in Curaçao.

With Parasasa Hotel, Curaçao now has an active environment to bring vocational education to life as part of the day-to-day learning trajectory. This concept brings the hard and soft skills to life and acknowledges the competences within the formal learning process of vocational education students on the island. They are able to acknowledge and assess their informal and learning trajectory while the market, the students, and the community find each other through various learning opportunities, spread throughout the island.
