This study visit is an opportunity for partners from Turin Metropolitan City (Italy), Cities of Learning in the Netherlands, Vilnius (Lithuania), Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and and Blackpool City (United Kingdom) to meet, exchange and learn from each other about 21st-century skills education and recognition.

Why should you join?

  • Share needs, interest and realities of young people included in the city-level strategy for Cities of Learning focused on 21st century skills development
  • Familiarise with the concept and good practices of 21st century skills development and inclusion through meetings and visits to partner organisations of Vilnius City of Learning
  • Test technical developments of Mobile App for Cities of Learning and give feedback on how to better improve user experience
  • Consult local learning providers on how to design learning pathways and promote them to young people in the city


What should you expect?

  • Participants and partners of this project will develop understanding of the needs, interests and realities of young people in participating cities of Europe.
  • Partners having experience with Cities of Learning will share their know-how on 21st century skills development and inclusion and best practices of designing and delivering learning pathways.
  • Staff members will learn how to design learning pathways using playlists methodology and will develop first prototypes of such educational opportunities.
  • Participants will get familiar with the functionality of Cities of Learning platform and test and give feedback on using Mobile App for Cities of Learning.
  • Partners will prepare to deliver intellectual output of learning pathways and work locally, consulting other learning providers and promoting these new opportunities to young people.

This study visit is a part of a Cities of Learning study visit organised during 16 to 21 May 2022 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The study visit is realised within the Erasmus+ co-funded strategic partnership "Online 21st century skills education".

Content

In Cities of Learning, we involve young people and learners to explore their needs, interests and realities. We aim to empower them to develop 21st-century skills in our cities to take the best opportunities. Brining various stakeholders is vital to achieving vivid learning ecosystems in our communities.

During this activity, you will meet with Vilnius youth representatives and stakeholders to share 21st-century skills education and recognition.

This activity created opportunities for partners and participants:
  • to meet people, organisations and stakeholders from various cities and exchange about our realities;
  • to learn about Vilnius city youth policy and inspiring educational initiatives;
  • to hear about young people's needs, interests and realities;
  • to reflect and share how we can involve young people in realising our 21st-century skills education.

This activity is a part of a Cities of Learning study visit organised from 16 to 21 May 2022 in Vilnius, Lithuania. The study visit is realised within the Erasmus+ co-funded strategic partnership "Online 21st century skills education".
