In this workshop, we will be discussing gender equality in the programmatic work of CSOs. We will delve into the concept of gender equality and how it is operationalized in specific practices, strategies, and visions. We will look at the difference between gender-sensitive and gender-transformative approaches and whether they can work together. Additionally, we will discuss what an CSO's gender equality policy could look like and how to start preparing one.

Participants will:
  • Learn what gender equality is and how it differs from gender justice.
  • Understand how to conduct a gender analysis and which aspects of resource and power distribution should be considered.
  • Differentiate between a gender-sensitive and gender-transformative approach.
  • Learn about the gender equality policies in CSO.
